About Nora

Nora Ellis, NourishTable

Hi, I am Nora and I believe every meal deserves a seat at the table.

Welcome to NourishTable. I am a home cook, recipe developer, and lifelong food lover based in the US. This little corner of the internet is where I share the recipes my family actually eats: the kind that fill the kitchen with good smells, bring everyone running to the table, and leave zero leftovers.

I grew up learning to cook beside my grandmother, who could turn the simplest ingredients into something extraordinary. She taught me that cooking is not about perfection. It is about intention. About nourishing the people you love with something made with care.

My Story

I did not go to culinary school. I learned by doing: by making the same chicken recipe twelve times until it was exactly right, by burning things and starting over, by feeding my friends and family and taking notes on what made them smile. That hands-on experience is exactly what shaped the recipes you find here.

After years of cooking for a growing family, I realized that most recipes I loved online felt out of reach. Too many exotic ingredients, too many steps, or too little flavor for all that effort. I wanted something different. I wanted recipes that were real, approachable, and genuinely delicious.

NourishTable was born from that desire. Every recipe I share here has been tested at home, adjusted, tasted again, and only posted when it is truly worth your time. I focus on wholesome ingredients, simple techniques, and big, satisfying flavors that your whole family will love.

What You Will Find Here

  • Weeknight dinners that come together in 30 to 45 minutes without sacrificing flavor
  • Cozy soups and stews made for slow Sunday afternoons
  • Simple chicken, beef, and lamb dishes seasoned generously and cooked with care
  • Desserts and baked goods that are worth every single calorie
  • Fresh salads and sides that actually make you want to eat your vegetables

My recipes rely on ingredients you can find at any grocery store. Nothing fancy, nothing obscure. Just good food, made well.

A Few Things About Me

  • I believe a well-seasoned pan is worth its weight in gold
  • My spice drawer is organized (do not judge me)
  • I have learned more from kitchen mistakes than from any cookbook
  • Sunday meal prep is my love language
